Our volunteers come as part of local groups like churches, civil organizations, schools, families -- or as individual visitors. Groups should book at least a week in advance (801.798.3559 / 787.1510) due to the number of requests we receive, which allows us to have jobs, supervision and tools ready for everyone. Of course, we’re grateful for all the help we receive from so many willing hearts and capable hands. As it is said "Many hands make light work."
That's no more true than at the festivals -- we could not put on these big festivals without all our volunteers! Each requires the work of an additional 15-100 people depending on its scale.
Volunteers allow us to keep our events free or low cost for all.
Take a look at what kids and teens can learn and how they benefit by coming to the Temple as volunteers, on our Community Service page. Full-time alert supervision is provided where necessary for younger volunteer groups.
The time kids and teens spend with us rates a consistent “good” to “awesome” from them.
NOTE : For one special person interested in dedicated service to a spiritual organization, we are looking for you. We have created a Volunteer Coordinator position, a part-time but important role that is crucial to our growth. The position requires no direct experience. Please inquire with us for details.
