ISKCON India Rewards Literary Quiz Winners

A Vrindavan judging panel has announced six winners of the All-India Bhaktivedanta Swami Literary Quiz. The September 15 quiz, organized by ISKCON Vrindavan, ISKCON Pune and the Bhaktivedanta Gurukula and International School, was the first of its kind amongst ISKCON children in India.

 

A Vrindavan judging panel has announced six winners of the All-India Bhaktivedanta Swami Literary Quiz. The September 15 quiz, organized by ISKCON Vrindavan, ISKCON Pune and the Bhaktivedanta Gurukula and International School, was the first of its kind amongst ISKCON children in India.

The competition was open to children between 10 and 15 years old. The winners of the competition are Manjulali Manjari Biswas (15, Sri Mayapur Dham); Divya Kala (14, ISKCON Delhi); Aakriti Gupta (13, ISKCON Chandigarh); Devansh Pushkarna (12, ISKCON Ghaziabad); Goura Chand Das (11, ISKCON Ujjain); and Tusti Panchasara (10, ISKCON Chowpatty/Meera Road). During Kartik the winners will receive a baby calf from the Bhaktivedanta Swami Goshalla, a Kartik parikrama with Deena Bandhu prabhu, a Bhagavad-gita and Krishna Book from BBT Vrindavan for their school library, a small Srila Prabhupada murti from the Krishna Balaram Gift Store in the temple, a children’s publication from ISKCON Pune, a one-month summer camp at IYF Pune, a Krishna-Balaram Treasure Box from Bhaktivedanta Gurukula and International School in Vrindavan, a feast of mahaprasadam at Bhaktivedanta Gurukula and International School, and an awards certificate.

Ananda Vrindavaneswari devi dasi, principal of the Bhaktivedanta Gurukula in Vrindavan, offered heartfelt congratulations to the winners and thanked the temple presidents and Nama Hatta leaders who coordinated the competition in their temples. “The response was overwhelming, and we feel very confident that our ISKCON children are studying Srila Prabhupada’s books under the supervision of their congregational leaders,” she said. “We would like to see this quiz become an annual event all over the world.”
