Song: Plea to the Mind

Yo, listen up close, this is a plea to the mind, To shed all the pretense and leave lies behind. I’m begging you sweetly, right at your feet, For a love that’s intense, a passion complete. For Vraja’s dear people and the Guru’s own light, A Vaiṣṇava spirit shining ever so bright. Develop that feeling, pure and newly born, For Rādhā and Kṛṣṇa from dusk till the morn. Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare, Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare. O mind, don’t be troubled by what the Vedas decree, Regarding deeds pious or what shouldn’t be. Just serve Rādhā-Kṛṣṇa with all of your might, In Vraja, where Chaitanya is the Nanda-Mahārāja’s ray of light. Don’t worry ’bout actions the Vedas describe, The virtuous path where the karma folks jibe. Just serve the Divine Couple, the fresh young pair, With focus and purpose, beyond all compare. Remember Chaitanya is Nanda Mahārāja’s own, The Guru is cherished by Lord Mukunda on His throne.
