Service to Krishna has tremendous spiritual merit and is a great way to burn up lots of karma.

There are several service opportunity positions around the Temple. We achieve significance by serving the Lord, from whom all qulaiites emanate. If we fail to use our talents and abilities in His service, we tend to misuse them. Fame will never bring us significance, wealth will not bring us significance, even good marital and family realitions will not bring us significance in the same way that loving devotional service to the Lord brings us significance.

Bhagavad Gita ch.9 v.27

yat karosi yad ashnasi
yaj juhosi dadasi yat
yat tapasyasi kaunteya
tat kurushva mad-arpanam

Whatever you do, whatever you eat,
whatever you offer or give away,
and whatever austerities you perform —
do that, O son of Kunti, as an offering to Me.
